This week, our site teams at Obsidian, Rylands, and Fusion are welcoming MindFlow [link to website], the charity dedicated to making mental health conversations commonplace in construction. Colleagues from Domis and across our supply chain are taking part in on-site seminars designed to open up dialogue, reduce stigma, and signpost practical support.
Everyone deserves to feel safe and supported. That’s why holistic health and wellbeing sit at our core and align with the HSE agenda and our current workplan. We’re proud supporters of the Lighthouse Charity and recently embraced their “Make It Visible” campaign across several schemes, feedback was overwhelmingly positive.
Led by CEO Trevor Steven, MindFlow brings a refreshing, engaging approach to wellbeing, specifically tailored for construction by using the power of sport, particularly football, to encourage open conversations among men.
“MindFlow’s mission is to foster a culture within the construction industry where mental health is openly discussed.”
“We want to shape a construction industry where mental health is as fundamental as physical safety.”
The upcoming Match Up sessions will be delivered by former professional footballers Paul Lake, Curtis Woodhouse and David White, both trained facilitators. These sessions provide an accessible, team-oriented space to talk honestly, learn practical tools, and build confidence in supporting one another.

These figures underline why proactive, site-based engagement is essential. We’re sharing this update to encourage other contractors, developers, and supply chain partners to prioritise mental health alongside physical safety. Together, we can build sites where looking out for each other mentally and physically is just how we work.
