Domis Honours No Falls Week with Safety Stand Down at No.2 St. Michael’s

June 2026

Domis Construction was proud to host a dedicated safety Stand Down at No. 2 St. Michael’s to mark No Falls Week, supported by the No Falls Foundation.

The session brought together members of the Domis project team, supply chain partners and specialist contractors to reinforce the importance of working safely at height across live construction environments.

Held on site at No.2 St. Michael’s, the Stand Down focused on awareness, accountability and the shared responsibility required to prevent falls from height, one of the most significant risks facing the construction industry.

Domis Supports No Falls Week

No Falls Week is a national campaign dedicated to raising awareness around the dangers of working at height and encouraging businesses across the UK to review, discuss and improve their approach to height safety.

As a contractor delivering complex, high-rise and city centre construction projects, Domis recognises the importance of maintaining a strong safety culture across every level of its operations. The Stand Down at No.2 St. Michael’s was designed to encourage discussion, challenge behaviours and ensure that everyone on site feels empowered to speak up when something does not look right.

Working Together to Raise Safety Standards

The event was supported by the No Falls Foundation, with Dave Thomas in attendance to share his personal experience and insight.

Dave spoke powerfully about his time with the HSE, as well as his current role as a Trustee of the No Falls Foundation. His reflections provided a thought-provoking reminder of the real-life impact that falls from height can have on individuals, families, colleagues and wider project teams.

Domis would also like to extend a special thank you to Kinlan Scaffolding for taking the lead on the initiative alongside the No. 2 St. Michael’s project team.

As an industry partner closely connected to working at height, Kinlan Scaffolding plays a vital role in helping to drive awareness, raise standards and promote a positive safety message across live sites.

Valuable contributions were also made by Mark Gaffney and Karle Degroot, whose experiences and insight added further weight to the session and left a lasting impact on those in attendance.
