Domis Advances Construction at W Residences No.2 St. Michael’s, Manchester

Concept becomes reality at No.2 St. Michael’s as W Residences’ landmark development continues to take shape in the heart of Manchester.

Brought to the city by Salboy and Relentless Developments, this transformative project will introduce the first Marriott-branded residences outside of London, becoming W Hotel’s 14th and W Residences’ 3rd European destination.

On site, progress is advancing across multiple areas. Fit-out of the tank room is nearing completion, while work has now begun on the gymnasium and treatment rooms; part of the development’s luxury W Wellness Spa. The swimming pool is also well underway, with tiling and drainage complete. Back-of-house plant rooms continue to take shape, and the car park has reached its halfway point. Cycle storage is also progressing steadily, supporting sustainable travel for future residents and guests.

Key milestones are on the horizon. The Level 7 podium and office decks are due to complete by Q3 2025, while installation of the Level 12 safety screen is scheduled before the end of the year. Further updates will follow as the development reaches new stages.

The Domis Group in full effect

Working alongside Domis Construction, several key delivery partners from the Domis Group are helping bring this landmark scheme to life:

• Matic is delivering mechanical, electrical, HVAC, fire, security and guest management systems, along with temporary power.
• Casana is sourcing fixtures and fittings for the Bowler James Brindley; designed interiors and amenity spaces.
• Novo is managing MEP design and coordination from Stage 2 through to 4, including thermal modelling and compliance across BREEAM, NABERS, SMARTScore, WELL and WiredScore.
• Domis Utilities were contracted to manage all utility works for the project, including disconnections, diversions, and new connections for both electricity and water.

With every milestone, No.2 St. Michael’s edges closer to redefining luxury living in Manchester.
